An item-by-item inventory helps a hauler plan labor, protective equipment, and trailer space without guessing from “one bedroom set.”
Name the pieces
List the dresser, chest, nightstands, headboard, footboard, bench, mirror, bed frame, mattress, and box spring separately. Include quantity and approximate size.
Record what makes each piece difficult
Note solid wood construction, stone or glass tops, attached mirrors, full drawers, damage, narrow doors, and stairs. Photos should show the whole piece and the exit route.
Prepare without overdoing it
Empty drawers and cabinets, remove loose shelves, and secure doors. Do not attempt to lift a heavy dresser alone or balance a mirror where it can tip.
Use a room-by-room handoff
For a larger clearout, group the list by room and mark what stays. A strip of painter’s tape can identify removal items without damaging finished surfaces.
